Art at the summit in Courchevel 1850

Meeting between art and nature in the 3 Valleys

An open-air art museum

Every winter, Courchevel transforms the mountains into a true artistic stage by offering unique and unforgettable events designed to captivate its visitors. Among these standout events is the “Art au Sommet” exhibition, where contemporary artists turn the resort into an open-air museum. This bold initiative began 15 years ago through a partnership between Courchevel and the Bartoux Galleries, with the goal of bringing art and culture to the heart of the French Alps.

For the 2025-2026 season, the Art au Sommet exhibition continues to rise and unveils an exceptional new edition featuring two renowned artists: Andrea Roggi and Bruno Catalano. Their monumental works take over both the ski slopes and the villages, offering visitors a captivating artistic journey from the peaks down to the valley.

This winter, skiers and walkers can admire seven sculptures by Andrea Roggi, displayed on the slopes and in Courchevel 1850, as well as five works by Bruno Catalano, exhibited in La Tania, Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel Village, Courchevel Moriond and Courchevel 1850. Large-scale printed artworks also enhance this cultural stroll through the heart of the resort.

For the first time during the 2025–2026 edition, Andrea Roggi’s iconic “Trees of Life” rise atop the mountains. Symbols of peace, roots and sharing, these sculptures convey a universal message of harmony, magnified by the purity of the Alpine scenery.

Bruno Catalano’s works, meanwhile, bring a new poetic dimension to the villages scattered throughout the valley.

To enrich the experience, guided tours are offered every Thursday in partnership with the FACIM Foundation, allowing visitors to explore the Art au Sommet exhibition through both a cultural and historical lens.
